Building an Interactive Globe with Open Data
In this article we build an interactive globe from Natural Earth data, converting shapefiles to vector tiles with tippecanoe, rendering them with MapLibre GL JS, and hosting everything on GitHub Pages. No proprietary map service, just open data and modern web technology.
