Genuary24 - Droste effect

Have you heard of the Droste effect, named after a Dutch brand of cocoa, with an image designed by Jan Misset in 1904. It’s an in theory infinite, recursive loop of the same motive inside itself, inside itself, inside itself and so on. And it’s the prompt of Genuary day #3. So I thought instead of building the trefoil knot path using dots like at day #2, I could instead use trefoil knots, out of trefoil knots, out of trefoil knots,… your see where this leads to.

I tried hard to get an animation going which endlessly zooms into the scene, but I couldn’t manage so easily because of performance as well as perspective issues. Maybe I’ll come back here some day and have another look. Let’s move on to day #4 then.
